Koh Sze Jie

In the area of litigation, Koh  handles a wide range of contentious and non-contentious civil litigation matters, including family and matrimonial matters, contract and commercial disputes, debts recovery, force sale of property, eviction of tenant, intellectual property, wills, trusts, probate, and estate planning to name a few.

In the area of corporate & commercial, Koh has extensive experience in advising on business compliance and other operational issues faced by local and international organisations. His key clientele includes multinational corporations originated from China, Hong Kong, and Australia which span across industries, such as education, housing development, fund management, and manufacturing. He was also involved in due diligence exercises, drafting of corporate & commercial documentations. It is his belief that, comprehensive advice and well-drafted documentations are the most effective measures to protect the interests of business entities.

Teh graduated with First Class Honours from National University of Malaysia. He has extensive experience in conveyancing, litigation, and corporate & commercial. He is also eloquent in English, Malay and Mandarin.

In the area of conveyancing, Teh has represented property developers in various real estate and projects development. He is experienced in joint venture business model negotiation, government authorities’ applications & approvals, end financing applications & approvals, completion of sale transaction and financial drawdown of conventional and Islamic financing facilities. Teh has also represented individuals and companies on secondary sale transaction, of which, he handles sale & purchase agreement drafting, tax submission, loan documentation preparation and financial drawdown.

In the area of litigation, Teh is involved in a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters including debt recovery, general civil defence, defamation, bankruptcy, winding up, divorce, probate, and letter of administration.

In the area of corporate & commercial, Teh is frequently consulted by individuals and corporations for legal advice on corporate transactions and business dealings.  His experiences also include corporate & commercial related agreement drafting.

Teh is a firm believer in raising public awareness and education. In the past few years, he has published numerous legal articles, of which some of these articles have been presented in legal conferences and published in law and social science’s journal including, the Law Review, Current Law Journal, Global and Stochastic Analysis (Scopus), International Journal of Engineering & Technology (Scopus), UKM PERSISWA Law Conference 2016 and 11th International Conference on Economics, Business and Social Sciences.

Lim Khai Yang

Mr. Lim Khai Yang is a Legal Associate in Messrs. Koh & Teh Law Chamber and is presently involved in conveyancing, civil litigation and commercial matters.

He has graduated from University of Reading in year 2018 with a LL.B (Hons), Second Upper Class Honours Degree. He then obtained his Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in year 2019 and has been subsequently admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.

Currently, Mr. Lim Khai Yang attends to various conveyancing matters including but not limited to secondary sale transaction. He is also experienced in the drafting of Sale and Purchase Agreement, tax submission, preparation of the loan documentation until advise for drawdown.

Furthermore, he has drafted and vetted various other commercial agreements such as tenancy agreement, settlement agreement, joint venture agreement, share sales and shareholder’s agreement.

Mr. Lim Khai Yang is also involved in the area of civil litigation for both contentious and non-contentious matters including debt recovery, general civil defence, divorce, execution of judgment/order, probate and letter of administration.

Tee Vun Xin

Vun Xin is a civil and commercial litigator. Her core practice encompasses land acquisition matters (where she has acted for both landowners and acquiring authorities), general civil litigation, including landlord and tenant disputes, trespass, contractual and commercial disputes, negligence and torts, as well as administrative law. She has represented clients from a myriad of industries, including property development, estate plantation, electricity utility, water services provider, property investment, cement and concrete production, automotive retail and etc.

She graduated from Multimedia University in 2018 and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2019. She has amassed a diverse blend of experiences in a leading full service law firm (also a member of one of the largest law firms in the world) and a renowned boutique litigation firm in Malaysia.

Chew Lay Ling

Lay Ling graduated from Multimedia University with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2017. She read in the chambers of Mr. Wong Fook Meng, and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 13th September 2018. She was then retained as an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group in Messrs Chee Siah Le Kee & Partners.

Throughout her years of practice in the firm, she handles a wide variety of civil matters including commercial disputes, debt recovery, defamation, land disputes, insolvency, landlord and tenant, family matters, probate matters, corporate and shareholders’ disputes, banking litigation and compliance matters.

Her clients include banks, shopping complexes, hotel owners, manufacturers, co-operative societies, SME owners, politicians, debt collection agency and many other corporate and individual clients from both local and overseas such as Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Jules Kor Weizhen

Jules approaches each case with meticulous attention to detail, striving to provide comprehensive legal solutions to her clients.

She earned her Bachelor of Laws degree with First Class Honours from the National University of Malaysia and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in July 2021. Before joining Koh & Teh Law Chamber, she served as an associate at a prominent dispute resolution firm in Malaysia.

Commencing her legal journey as a pupil at a reputable law firm in Malacca, she delved deep into various real estate transactions during her pupillage, honing her skills in handling developer cases, sub-sales, and the intricacies of loan documentation for numerous banks.

Following her admission to the High Court of Malaya as an Advocate and Solicitor in August 2020, Ms. Tee ventured into the vibrant legal landscape of Johor Bahru, specializing in conveyancing matters. Her expertise in this field is evident through her meticulous handling of the settlement and title transfer process for both developer’s housing projects and sub-sales. Additionally, she adeptly manages sale and purchase transactions, navigating the complexities of banking facilities for her valued clients.
